NVC Practice Space OASIS
A watering place for self-connection and self-compassion in your daily life
A watering place that will empower you to take action
Anyone interested in NVC is welcome to this online practice space
Welcome to OASIS!
Thank you for visiting our website. OASIS is an online space where primarily Japanese speakers gather to learn and practice NVC.
The sessions with English titles are also open to English speakers. We will not have a professional translator; we will find a way to communicate together, just as the real world is.
If you are curious and would love to connect, you are very welcome!
What matters
Inclusion
Anyone can participate in the programs, regardless of NVC
knowledge, experience, or financial situation.
Self-compassion
We value self-connection and self-compassion, which are the core of NVC, above all else. We hope that this will lead to peaceful communication on an individual, social, and global level.
Easyness
We believe that keeping in touch with NVC on a daily basis will support living with NVC awareness. For this reason, all programs are free so that you can participate as many times as you like.
Diversity
It is also our longing to ensure that natural giving and receiving takes place in an uncomplicated manner across language and cultural boundaries.
The sessions with English titles are also open to English speakers. We will not have a professional translator; we will find a way to communicate together, just as the real world is.
If you are curious and would love to connect, you are very welcome!
Our intention is to make a small contribution to supporting peaceful alternatives to violence at the individual, community and global level. We first value self-connection and self-compassion, which are the core of NVC, and hope that this will lead to peaceful communication on an individual, social, and global level.
We are looking forward to meeting you soon.
Our Programs
NVC trial sessions / practice sessions
This session emphasizes both the NVC "way of being" and the "method" of communication.
Dyad Meditation
It's time for an inward journey in pairs. While your partner watches you in silence, you can freely express what is alive inside you. Learn the power of self-compassion and observation. Click here for details.
Empathy Circle
One person talks for a few minutes about an episode that has happened/is happening in their life, and everyone else makes guesses about the person's ``feelings'' and ``needs.''
Movement Dyad
This is a dyad meditation that uses the body.
Co-working Space
We spend time together, writing in journals, reading books, and other things we each want to do. You can also use it to meet up with someone for NVC work or Dyad Meditation (may be useful if neither party has a ZOOM account). Check-in and check-out, chat time and after session chat are also available.
Requests
Please make sure your have a stable internet connection to ensure the sessions run smoothly. For everyone's safety and security, please participate with video on, except in special cases (e.g. during co-working). If you have any difficulties with this, please contact us in advance.
The facilitators are not certified NVC trainers. Please note that we are providing a place for mutual learning.
To keep this place sustainable, we welcome donations of any amount to cover domain fees, website maintenance costs, ZOOM account fees, and support for facilitators learning. Please contact us for account information.
